SCARBOROUGH FRINGE 2026 The Shakespeare Scratch Space by SCBO

SCBO will be running the performance space at the Shakespeare throughout this year’s Scarborough Fringe Festival, from Friday 12 June to Sunday 21 June. With an intimate capacity of 40 — and arguably the most comfortable seating at the Fringe — this venue is ideal for stand-up comedy, small-cast playlets, rehearsed readings, acoustic sets, spoken word and more. We offer three performance slots per day at reasonable rates, plus the added bonus of a temporary licensed bar to help create a relaxed festival atmosphere. It’s a perfect opportunity for grassroots creatives to test new work in the heart of the Fringe. SCBO will provide a duty manager to run the space and support your get-in and get-out, so you can focus on the performance.
